The VALUE COLLECTION 720-1634 is a double-end, square-profile end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking applications. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it offers a 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) cutting diameter and a 3/16 inch length of cut. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, and the centercutting design allows for plunge milling as well as peripheral cuts. With two right-hand spiral flutes and a right-hand cut direction, this tool suits standard CNC and manual milling setups. It is installed and used by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and manufacturing technicians working with precision small-diameter features.
This end mill is suited for milling slots, pockets, and profiles in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. Its double-end configuration extends usable tool life by providing two cutting ends per tool. The regular-length body and 3/16 inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard collets and tool holders used on vertical mills and CNC machining centers handling small-feature work.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or production end mill for small-diameter milling operations. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. Fits standard 3/16 inch collets and tool holders on vertical mills and CNC machining centers.
Installation and tool changes should be performed with the machine spindle fully powered down and locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the 3/16 inch shank fully into the collet or tool holder and secure to manufacturer torque specifications for the holder in use. Inspect both cutting ends for chips or edge damage before use. Small-diameter end mills are susceptible to deflection and breakage at aggressive feed rates — confirm feeds, speeds, and depth of cut against tooling manufacturer recommendations for the workpiece material.
