The VALUE COLLECTION 720-1632 is a double-end, two-flute square end mill designed for precision material removal in ferrous and high-temperature alloy machining applications. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright/uncoated finish, it delivers consistent performance in light-to-medium milling operations. The cutter measures 3/64 inch (0.0469 inch decimal) in diameter with a 9/64 inch (0.1406 inch decimal) length of cut, making it well suited for fine-detail slotting, profiling, and contouring in confined geometries. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This end mill is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on manual mills and CNC machining centers.
The 720-1632 is suited for milling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. Its double-end configuration extends usable tool life, allowing the operator to index to the second cutting end when the first shows wear. The 3/16 inch shank diameter and 2-1/4 inch overall length make it compatible with standard collet and end mill holders found on benchtop and full-size vertical milling machines. This tool is appropriate for production shops, toolrooms, and maintenance machining environments where small-diameter, close-tolerance work is required.
Designed for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys (ISO material codes P, M, K, S). Fits standard 3/16 inch collets and end mill holders on vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers.
Installation is performed by a machinist using an appropriate collet or end mill holder rated for the 3/16 inch shank diameter. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Set tool reach to the minimum length required for the job to maximize rigidity and minimize deflection. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the workpiece material and tool diameter.
