The VALUE COLLECTION 720-1539 is a single-end square end mill designed for metal removal and profile milling in CNC and manual machining operations. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, this tool runs at a 3/4 inch cutting diameter with a 3 inch length of cut, making it well suited for deeper slotting and side milling passes. The 2-flute spiral geometry with a 37-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and is optimized for aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole. Machinists and tool room operators select this end mill for general-purpose profiling, contouring, and full-slot cutting in non-ferrous applications.
This end mill is intended for use in aluminum, brass, copper, and other non-ferrous materials where a 2-flute geometry provides the chip clearance needed to prevent recutting and tool loading. The long series designation provides extra reach for deep-pocket work and tall-workpiece setups. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation suit standard spindle rotation on conventional vertical and horizontal milling machines as well as CNC machining centers. The 3/4 inch straight shank fits standard collets, end mill holders, and set-screw tool holders of matching bore size.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-use end mill compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/4 inch straight shank via collet, hydraulic, shrink-fit, or set-screw end mill holders. Primary workpiece material code N covers aluminum and non-ferrous alloys per the manufacturer specification.
A licensed machinist or qualified toolroom operator should handle tooling installation and setup. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or safe state before inserting or removing the end mill from the holder. Confirm holder bore, collet size, and pull stud specifications match the 3/4 inch shank diameter before tightening. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, and do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the workpiece material and machine rigidity.
