The VALUE COLLECTION 720-1537 is a single-end, two-flute square end mill designed for milling operations on aluminum and non-ferrous materials. Ground from M2 high speed steel and left in a bright, uncoated finish, this tool delivers reliable performance in standard shop and production environments. It measures 3/4 inches in diameter with a 1-5/8 inch length of cut and a 3-7/8 inch overall length. The right-hand cutting, right-hand spiral flute geometry with a 37-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation in non-ferrous applications. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals reach for this style of end mill for profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling operations on manual mills and CNC machining centers.
This end mill is sized for general-purpose milling work in aluminum, brass, copper, and other non-ferrous materials. The regular-length body and 3/4 inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard R8, CAT, BT, and collet-style toolholders found on vertical mills and machining centers. The centercutting geometry allows both plunge and ramping entry cuts without requiring a pre-drilled pilot hole. It is suited for job shops, maintenance facilities, and production environments where a capable, uncoated HSS end mill is the practical choice over carbide for softer workpiece materials.
Designed for use with aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The 3/4 inch shank diameter fits standard R8 collets, end mill holders, and other common toolholding systems sized for 3/4 inch shanks on vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers.
Install and remove end mills only with the machine spindle at a complete stop and the control in an e-stop or locked-out state per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder to the depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer, leaving no more shank exposed than necessary. Inspect the cutting edges and shank for damage before each use. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant for the workpiece material to extend tool life and maintain surface finish quality.
