The VALUE COLLECTION 720-1526 is a square end mill designed for precise material removal in milling applications. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it delivers reliable performance on aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The tool features a 1/2 inch cutting diameter, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 3-1/4 inch overall length. With 2 spiral flutes and a right-hand cut and flute direction, it produces clean, accurate profiles in a single-end configuration. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this style of end mill for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations on manual and CNC equipment.
This end mill is suited for use on aluminum, brass, copper, and other non-ferrous materials where a standard geometry uncoated HSS tool is appropriate. The regular length designation makes it a practical choice for general-purpose milling setups where rigidity and reach are balanced. Its centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry into the workpiece without a pilot hole, adding flexibility in pocket milling and ramp-entry operations. The 1/2 inch shank diameter fits standard R8, ER, and Weldon-style toolholders commonly found in machining environments.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or stock end mill for use in standard 1/2 inch toolholding systems on manual mills and CNC machining centers handling aluminum and non-ferrous materials.
Installation and use of this end mill should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with proper toolholding practices. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing or securing tooling. Verify that the shank is fully seated and clamped to the minimum recommended engagement depth for the toolholder type in use. Follow the machine manufacturer guidelines for feed rate and spindle speed appropriate to the workpiece material and depth of cut.
