The VALUE COLLECTION 720-1445 is a single-end ball end mill designed for contour milling, slotting, and profiling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it delivers reliable cutting performance in general-purpose machining applications. The 2-inch mill diameter and 2-flute right-hand spiral geometry provide efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes on curved and three-dimensional profiles. With a 2.5-inch length of cut and 5-inch overall length, this tool is suited for moderate-depth milling passes where reach and rigidity are both important. Machinists and tooling professionals install this end mill on vertical machining centers and manual mills.
This ball end mill is used in job shop, production, and maintenance machining environments where radius-bottom features, die cavities, and sculpted surfaces are required. The 1.25-inch shank diameter provides a secure grip in standard end mill holders and collet chucks. Right-hand cutting direction and spiral flutes make it compatible with conventional climb-milling setups on most CNC and manual equipment. It ships as a single-piece unit and is appropriate for use in metalworking facilities operating under standard OSHA machine-guarding requirements.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or stock end mill for vertical machining centers, knee mills, and CNC routers accepting a 1.25-inch shank in standard end mill holders or collet chucks.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. The machine spindle must be powered down and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated to the recommended engagement depth in the holder and that all set screws or collet nuts are torqued according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use and replace the tool if any defects are observed.
