The VALUE COLLECTION 720-1435 is a single-end ball end mill designed for milling contoured surfaces, slots, and three-dimensional profiles in metal and similar materials. Machined from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, this end mill delivers reliable performance across a range of general-purpose milling applications. It features a 1-inch mill diameter, a 2-flute spiral flute configuration, and right-hand cutting and flute direction. The 2-flute design promotes efficient chip evacuation, making it well-suited for milling softer metals and materials where chip clearance is a priority. Installed and operated by machinists and toolroom professionals on standard vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers.
This ball end mill is appropriate for use in job shop, production, and maintenance-repair environments requiring contour milling, profiling, and pocketing operations. The 1-inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders sized for 1-inch tooling. The standard-length geometry and 2-1/4-inch length of cut accommodate moderate-depth passes without excessive overhang. No extended reach configuration is included. It is suited to residential and light commercial machine shops as well as industrial toolroom settings.
Designed as a standard single-end ball end mill replacement for use in collet chucks and end mill holders accepting a 1-inch straight shank, on vertical mills and CNC machining centers configured for right-hand tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing any cutting tool. Secure the shank fully within the holder to the recommended minimum engagement depth per toolholder manufacturer guidelines. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and do not exceed the rated speed and feed parameters for M2 high speed steel tooling.
