The VALUE COLLECTION 720-1205 is a single-end square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in machine shops and production environments. Manufactured from M2 high speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, it features a 1/4 inch cutting diameter and a 30-degree helix angle across two spiral flutes. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral cuts. With a 3/8 inch shank diameter and a 3-1/16 inch overall length, this tool mounts in standard end mill holders and collet chucks on vertical mills and CNC machining centers. Installation and operation are performed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. The regular-length configuration and right-hand cut with right-hand flute geometry make it a versatile choice for slotting, profiling, and face milling operations at standard reach. The 1 inch length of cut provides adequate depth engagement for most common roughing and finishing passes on small-to-medium workpieces in both job-shop and production settings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling option for vertical mills, knee mills, and CNC machining centers accepting 3/8 inch shank end mills. Compatible primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum and non-ferrous alloys per material codes P, M, K, and N.
Install and remove end mills only after the spindle has come to a complete stop and the machine is powered down or placed in an e-stop state. Secure the shank firmly in a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder to the depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, and observe appropriate speeds and feeds for the workpiece material being cut. Machining operations involving end mills should be performed in accordance with applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines.
