The VALUE COLLECTION 720-1111 is a single-end square end mill designed for material removal in milling operations across a range of metalworking applications. Ground from M2 high speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this tool features a 1-1/8 inch cutting diameter, a 1-5/8 inch length of cut, and a 30-degree right-hand helix. The 2-flute geometry promotes chip evacuation and suits slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling work. With a 3/4 inch shank diameter and a 3-7/8 inch overall length, this is a regular-length end mill intended for use in standard milling setups where extended reach is not required. Installed by machinists and tool-and-die technicians, this tool fits mills, CNC machining centers, and manual knee mills alike.
This end mill is suited for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum along with other non-ferrous materials. The right-hand cutting direction and spiral flute geometry make it a general-purpose choice for shops handling a variety of workpiece materials. The centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled hole. This tool does not feature a chipbreaker, variable helix, variable index, or coolant-through design, keeping it straightforward for conventional milling operations.
Suitable for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous workpiece materials. Compatible with standard milling machines and machining centers accepting a 3/4 inch straight shank. Fits regular-length end mill holders and collet chucks sized for 3/4 inch shanks.
This end mill is installed by machinists in a milling machine spindle using an appropriate collet chuck or end mill holder rated for the 3/4 inch shank diameter. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or changing tooling. Verify holder runout and tighten the retention mechanism to the holder manufacturer's specification before cutting. Cutting speeds and feeds should be selected based on workpiece material and machine rigidity — consult published HSS cutting data tables for the specific material being machined.
