The VALUE COLLECTION 720-1031 is a single-end square end mill designed for material removal and peripheral milling in metalworking applications. Ground from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, this tool features a 23/64 inch (0.3594 inch) cutting diameter and a 9/16 inch (0.5625 inch) length of cut. The 2-flute geometry and 30-degree right-hand spiral helix promote chip evacuation and are well suited to slotting, profiling, and plunging operations. The centercutting design allows direct plunge entry without a pilot hole. Machinists and tool-and-die tradespeople working on manual mills or CNC setups use this style of end mill for general-purpose ferrous and non-ferrous stock removal.
This end mill is appropriate for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. The regular-length body and 3/8 inch shank diameter fit standard collets and end mill holders across a wide range of knee mills, bed mills, and CNC machining centers. The fractional-inch sizing makes it a direct fit for shops that work in inch-based tolerances. It is sold as a single unit and is suited to job shops, maintenance facilities, and production environments that require a reliable general-purpose HSS end mill.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or stock end mill for use in standard 3/8 inch collets and end mill holders on manual knee mills, bed mills, and CNC machining centers. Rated for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous materials.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder and torque the drawbar or clamping nut according to the machine manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, and select speeds and feeds appropriate for M2 HSS in the workpiece material being machined.
