The VALUE COLLECTION 7-H-37C-125 is a brass hex head cap screw built to inch-system standards and used wherever a corrosion-resistant threaded fastener is required. It carries a 3/8-16 UNC thread profile and measures 1-1/4 inches under the head, making it a standard size well suited to mechanical assemblies, plumbing fixtures, and light structural connections. The 9/16-inch hex drive accepts a standard combination wrench or socket. Brass construction resists corrosion in wet environments and eliminates the spark risk that comes with steel fasteners, which matters in certain HVAC, plumbing, and electrical enclosure applications. Installers in the trades rely on this size for bracketing, equipment mounting, and trim hardware.
This screw is appropriate for residential and commercial applications where Unified National Coarse thread engagement is specified. Common install scenarios include HVAC equipment mounting brackets, plumbing fixture trim, pool and spa equipment panels, and electrical enclosure hardware. The brass material is particularly well suited to environments with moisture exposure or where galvanic compatibility with brass fittings and copper components is a concern. It is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 5 pieces.
Designed as a standard 3/8-16 UNC hex head cap screw for use in any application requiring an inch-system threaded fastener with brass material compatibility.
This fastener is installed by any trade requiring threaded brass hardware, including HVAC technicians, plumbers, and electricians. Always ensure the mating tapped hole or nut is also 3/8-16 UNC before installation. Do not overtighten brass fasteners, as the material is softer than steel and the threads can strip under excessive torque. Shut down and de-energize equipment before accessing any panel or enclosure where fasteners are being replaced.
