The VALUE COLLECTION 6X1X2 FLAP 7A V is a 6-inch diameter, 1-inch wide unmounted flap wheel designed for surface finishing, blending, and light deburring operations. It uses aluminum oxide abrasive in a non-woven construction rated at Very Fine grade, 220 grit. The 2-inch center hole mounts to standard arbors and spindles found on bench grinders, lathes, and portable tools. A maximum speed rating of 3,400 RPM keeps the wheel within safe operating limits for most bench-mounted and stationary applications. Machinists, fabricators, and tool-and-die tradespeople use this style of wheel for finishing passes on metal and composite surfaces where controlled stock removal and surface uniformity are required.
This flap wheel suits finishing work on ferrous and non-ferrous metals in shop environments. The non-woven aluminum oxide construction conforms to contoured and flat surfaces alike, making it appropriate for polishing bores, shafts, and cylindrical workpieces. At 220 grit Very Fine grade, it is best suited for final-stage finishing and light blending rather than aggressive material removal. It is sold and packaged individually, making it practical for single-unit replacement in a shop tool kit or for job-specific use.
Designed as a standard unmounted flap wheel for use on bench grinders, lathes, and spindle-mounted finishing equipment that accept a 2-inch arbor hole and operate at or below 3,400 RPM.
Mounting and removal should be performed by a qualified machinist or fabricator with the tool fully powered down and isolated from its power source before any wheel change. Verify that the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 3,400 RPM maximum rating marked on the wheel before operating. Inspect the wheel for damage before each use and do not operate a wheel that shows tears, delamination, or deformation. ANSI B11 machine safety standards and facility-specific PPE requirements apply when operating abrasive wheels.
