The VALUE COLLECTION 6BN3/4X11/2 is a Schedule 40 stainless steel pipe nipple with NPT threading, sized at 3/4 inch nominal diameter by 1-1/2 inch length. This short-run nipple connects threaded pipe sections, fittings, and valves in pressurized piping systems. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion in wet, chemical, and outdoor environments. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this type of nipple during new construction and retrofit work where a close or short extension between two threaded components is required. The NPT taper thread provides a pressure-rated seal when assembled with compatible fittings and appropriate thread sealant.
Schedule 40 pipe nipples at this size are commonly used in residential and light commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, and process piping applications. The 3/4 inch diameter is a standard size found in water supply, steam, and condensate return lines. Stainless steel construction makes this nipple suitable for installations where carbon steel would be prone to corrosion, including coastal environments, chemical exposure, and potable water systems depending on applicable local codes.
Designed as a standard NPT-threaded replacement or new-installation nipple for Schedule 40 threaded piping systems using 3/4 inch NPT fittings, valves, and couplings.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC and local mechanical codes. Shut off and depressurize the system before removing or installing any threaded pipe component. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT threads before assembly — do not overtighten, as stainless steel threads are susceptible to galling. Inspect threads for damage before installation and ensure mating fittings are also rated for the intended service pressure and temperature.
