The VALUE COLLECTION 68-1290-C is a double-end corner rounding end mill engineered for precision edge profiling in demanding machining environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), it delivers hardness and heat resistance at cutting speeds that would wear down standard HSS tooling. The cutter measures 1/4 inch (0.2500 inches) in diameter with a 0.0750-inch corner radius and runs three straight flutes in a right-hand cutting, right-hand flute direction. Overall length is 2.5 inches with a 1/4-inch cylindrical shank. The double-end configuration extends tool life between regrinds or replacements. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals specify this geometry for consistent, repeatable corner breaks on finished parts.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, super alloys, and titanium — covering ISO material groups P, M, K, N, and S. It is a strong fit for job shops, production floors, and toolrooms where multiple work materials cycle through the same setup. The micrograin carbide substrate and AlTiN coating support dry cutting and high-speed machining passes without sacrificing edge integrity. The tip diameter of 0.0900 inches allows access to tighter part features while maintaining the 0.0750-inch radius profile.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit corner rounding end mill for 1/4-inch collet and end mill holder systems used in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in an e-stop state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or holder and torque the drawbar or clamping nut according to the machine manufacturer's specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each use, and verify runout with a dial indicator after initial setup.
