The VALUE COLLECTION 601475BR is a cup point set screw designed for secure, threaded fastening in mechanical assemblies where a headless profile is required. It is manufactured from alloy steel to the ASTM F912 material grade and conforms to ASME/ANSI B18.3 standards. The screw features a 7/8-9 UNC thread and measures 1-1/4 inches in overall length. Drive engagement is through a 1/2-inch hex key socket. The cup point bites into the mating surface to resist rotational and axial movement, making it a standard choice for shaft collars, hubs, and similar mechanical retention applications.
This set screw is suited for use in general industrial, mechanical, and manufacturing environments where a flush or recessed fastener is needed. Typical applications include securing gears, pulleys, sprockets, and collars onto shafts. The cup point geometry works on both hardened and unhardened shafts. Machinists, millwrights, and maintenance technicians commonly use this type of fastener in light to heavy industrial equipment. Sold individually per package with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed as a standard ASME/ANSI B18.3 cup point set screw for use in any 7/8-9 UNC tapped hole requiring a headless, hex-drive fastener.
Installation is performed with a 1/2-inch hex key or Allen driver. Ensure the tapped hole is clean and free of debris before threading. Follow applicable torque guidelines for 7/8-9 alloy steel fasteners per your assembly specification. Do not exceed the rated drive engagement depth, and inspect the cup point for deformation before reuse in critical retention applications.
