The VALUE COLLECTION 601460BR is a cup point set screw designed for mechanical assemblies where a secure, non-projecting fastener is required. Threaded 3/4-16 UNF with an overall length of 1.5 inches, this screw is driven by a 3/8-inch hex key and seats into a shaft or bore to resist rotational movement. Made from alloy steel, it delivers the hardness and shear strength needed for demanding industrial and mechanical applications. It meets ASME/ANSI B18.3 and ASTM F912 standards, confirming dimensional accuracy and material performance. Machinists, millwrights, and maintenance technicians are the typical installers.
This set screw is suited for use in shaft collars, pulleys, gears, sprockets, and similar power-transmission components where a flush or recessed fastener is preferred over a bolt or cap screw. The cup point bites into the shaft surface to create positive retention without requiring a through-hole. It is appropriate for both light industrial and heavy-duty mechanical applications where UNF fine-thread engagement is specified.
Designed as a standard UNF set screw for use in any shaft collar, hub, pulley, or mechanical assembly tapped to accept a 3/4-16 thread.
Installation is performed by a machinist, millwright, or qualified maintenance technician using a 3/8-inch hex key. Ensure the mating tapped hole is clean and free of debris before driving the screw. De-energize and lock out all rotating equipment before servicing any shaft or hub assembly. Do not exceed the torque capacity of the alloy steel body or the tapped hole material.
