The toolholder accepts replaceable inserts secured by screw clamping, making it a practical choice for production environments where insert indexing speed matters. With a 2.5-inch cutting diameter and a maximum depth of cut of 0.656 inches, this tool is suited for face milling, shoulder milling, and step milling on ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The R8 shank mounts directly into Bridgeport-style vertical milling machines and compatible R8 spindle tapers. Four insert pockets provide balanced cutting action across the full diameter.
