The VALUE COLLECTION 532020P is an M4 x 0.70 hex socket cap screw designed for precision fastening applications where high clamping force and a low-profile head are required. Manufactured from alloy steel to material grade 12.9, this screw delivers tensile strength well above standard grade fasteners. The black oxide finish provides mild corrosion resistance and reduces light reflection in finished assemblies. At 6 mm length under head and fully threaded along the shank, it suits shallow-depth fastening tasks. This fastener is installed using a hex key driver and is commonly specified by machinists, millwrights, and maintenance technicians working on mechanical assemblies, fixtures, and equipment.
This cap screw is suited for use in tight-clearance mechanical assemblies where a flush or recessed fastener is preferred over a hex head or pan head style. The M4 x 0.70 thread pitch and 6 mm shank length make it a common choice for light machinery frames, brackets, tooling plates, and precision instrument housings. The fully threaded design ensures full thread engagement across the entire shank, making it appropriate for thin-material applications or short blind holes. Minimum order quantity is 100 pieces per order.
Designed as a standard DIN 912 metric hex socket cap screw compatible with M4 x 0.70 tapped holes in mechanical assemblies, fixtures, tooling plates, and equipment requiring grade 12.9 alloy steel fasteners.
Install using a calibrated hex key or Allen-type driver sized for the M4 socket to avoid cam-out and socket damage. De-energize and lock out any equipment before fastener replacement on live machinery per applicable safety procedures. Grade 12.9 alloy steel fasteners are not suitable for direct contact with aluminum or other dissimilar metals in corrosive environments without appropriate isolation. Do not substitute a lower-grade fastener in any application specifying grade 12.9.
