The VALUE COLLECTION 4LB901/4 is a 90-degree pipe elbow fitting designed for threaded piping systems in plumbing, HVAC, and light industrial applications. Manufactured from 304 stainless steel, this fitting provides corrosion resistance suitable for a wide range of fluid-handling environments. It features female NPT connections on both ends (FNPT x FNPT) and is rated for Schedule 40 service at up to 150 psi. The compact 1/4-inch size makes it a standard choice for low-flow branch lines, instrument connections, and secondary piping runs. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installers for this type of threaded stainless fitting.
This elbow fitting is used wherever a 90-degree directional change is needed in a 1/4-inch threaded pipe run. Typical applications include plumbing distribution lines, compressed air systems, hydraulic control circuits, and HVAC auxiliary piping. The FNPT x FNPT configuration accepts male-threaded pipe or fittings on both ends, making it straightforward to integrate into existing threaded systems without special tooling. Its stainless steel construction makes it a practical choice in environments where mild corrosive exposure or moisture is a concern.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with standard 1/4-inch male NPT threaded pipe and fittings conforming to ANSI Schedule 40 specifications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC and local plumbing codes. Shut off and depressurize the system fully before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant tape or compound to the male threads before assembly, and hand-tighten before using a pipe wrench to avoid cross-threading. Do not overtighten stainless steel threaded fittings, as galling can occur on the threads.
