The VALUE COLLECTION 4HB1/2*1/4 is a threaded pipe bushing designed to reduce a 1/2-inch pipe connection down to a 1/4-inch port. Constructed from 304 stainless steel, this bushing offers solid corrosion resistance in wet, chemical-exposure, and outdoor service environments. The male NPT inlet threads onto the larger fitting or valve body, while the female NPT outlet accepts the smaller downstream pipe or fitting. Rated at 150 psi, it suits a wide range of low-to-medium pressure fluid and gas piping systems. Plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians install this bushing wherever a threaded size reduction is needed in stainless-compatible piping runs.
This bushing is well suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC condensate and refrigerant piping ancillary connections, compressed air distribution, and general industrial process lines where 304 stainless steel is specified. The 1/2-inch MNPT x 1/4-inch FNPT configuration is a common size reduction used when connecting instrumentation, gauges, valves, or smaller-diameter branch lines to a larger threaded header or manifold.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded pipe bushing for use in any standard NPT piping system requiring a 1/2-inch to 1/4-inch reduction with 304 stainless steel fittings rated to 150 psi.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers or qualified pipefitters following applicable IPC and IFGC guidelines for threaded pipe assemblies. Shut off and depressurize the line completely before disassembling or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPT threads before assembly, and tighten to a wrench-tight connection — do not overtighten stainless threads, as galling can occur. Confirm the system pressure does not exceed the 150 psi rating after returning the line to service.
