The VALUE COLLECTION 4BN1/2*11/8 is a welded stainless steel pipe nipple designed for threaded pipe systems requiring corrosion-resistant connections. Manufactured from Grade 304/304L stainless steel and built to Schedule 40 wall thickness, this nipple provides reliable performance in plumbing, industrial, and mechanical piping applications. The dual-grade 304/304L designation makes it suitable for both standard and low-carbon weld-sensitive environments. With a 1/2 inch pipe size and matching 1/2 inch thread size, it fits standard NPT-threaded fittings and valves. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this type of nipple as a short threaded connector between fittings, valves, or equipment ports.
This nipple is suited for residential and commercial plumbing systems, hydronic heating loops, process piping, and similar applications where stainless steel corrosion resistance is required. The welded construction meets Schedule 40 dimensional standards. It is commonly used in wet, chemical-exposure, or sanitary environments where carbon steel would be inappropriate. The 1/2 inch size is one of the most common pipe sizes in light commercial and residential mechanical systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard fitting for 1/2 inch NPT threaded pipe systems using Schedule 40 stainless steel components.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters following applicable IPC or ASME B31 piping codes. Shut off and depressurize the system fully before removing or installing any threaded pipe component. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to NPT threads before assembly and tighten with pipe wrenches to avoid cross-threading or over-torquing the stainless threads. Avoid mixing incompatible metals in the same piping loop without proper dielectric isolation to prevent galvanic corrosion.
