The VALUE COLLECTION 45747 is a fully threaded stud with a 1/4-20 thread form and a 2-inch overall length, machined from 18-8 stainless steel with an uncoated plain finish. Fully threaded studs carry thread along the entire shank, making them suitable for applications that require adjustable engagement depth or through-hole fastening without a head. The 18-8 stainless steel construction provides good corrosion resistance in wet, chemical, and outdoor environments. These studs are commonly installed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, and general trade professionals wherever a headless, double-ended fastener is needed.
Fully threaded studs in the 1/4-20 configuration are widely used in light mechanical assemblies, electrical enclosure mounting, plumbing fixture attachment, HVAC component mounting, and general equipment fabrication. The 1/4-20 unified coarse thread is one of the most common inch-series thread forms in trade work, with broad tool and hardware compatibility across residential and commercial jobsites. The uncoated stainless finish suits both indoor and moderate outdoor service conditions without additional treatment.
Designed as a standard 1/4-20 fully threaded stud suitable for use with any 1/4-20 compatible nuts, tapped holes, or threaded inserts across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical assembly applications.
Use appropriate stud-installation tools or two jam nuts to drive the stud into a tapped hole without damaging the threads. Ensure the mating tapped hole or threaded insert is clean and free of debris before installation. Torque mating nuts to the specifications required by the assembly or governing code — do not overtighten stainless fasteners, as 18-8 is susceptible to galling. Power down or de-energize any equipment before installing fasteners in electrical or HVAC enclosures.
