The VALUE COLLECTION 45745 is a fully threaded stud with a 1/4-20 unified coarse thread and an overall length of 1.5 inches. Fully threaded studs carry thread along the entire shank, making them suitable for through-hole fastening applications where a nut is used on each end or where the stud threads directly into a tapped hole. This stud is manufactured from 18-8 stainless steel, which provides solid corrosion resistance in wet, chemical, or outdoor environments. The uncoated plain finish leaves the material in its natural state. Installers in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general mechanical trades reach for stainless fully threaded studs when a standard zinc-plated fastener will not hold up to the environment.
This stud is appropriate for light-duty fastening tasks in residential and commercial applications where 1/4-20 thread engagement is required. Typical use cases include mounting brackets, securing panel components, assembling pipe hangers, and anchoring equipment in corrosive or damp service environments. The 1.5-inch overall length suits thin-material or close-clearance assemblies where a longer fastener would be impractical. Sold individually per package, with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed as a standard 1/4-20 fully threaded stud for use with any 1/4-20 threaded nut, insert, or tapped hole in residential or commercial mechanical, plumbing, and electrical assembly applications.
Install using an appropriate wrench, nut driver, or stud driver sized for 1/4-20 fasteners. Always verify that the mating material is tapped to the correct thread specification before driving the stud to avoid cross-threading. When using stainless steel fasteners against stainless mating parts, apply an anti-seize compound to prevent galling. Torque to the value specified by the equipment manufacturer or applicable mechanical code for the joint type and material.
