Constructed from PVC (polyvinyl chloride), this plug offers solid resistance to corrosion and common chemicals encountered in residential and light commercial plumbing. The male iron pipe thread (MIPT) end connection allows it to thread directly into a female-threaded fitting, tee, or pipe end. At 0.23 pounds, it is lightweight and easy to handle during installation. Plumbers and pipefitters use this plug to cap off unused branch openings, pressure-test lines, or permanently close off service ports.
