The VALUE COLLECTION 437-131 is a Schedule 40 PVC pipe bushing designed to reduce a 1-inch pipe connection down to a 3/4-inch line. It features a spigot (male) inlet and a slip (socket) outlet, allowing it to seat directly into a standard slip fitting on the downstream side. This bushing is used in low-pressure water distribution, irrigation, and drainage systems where a concentric reduction is needed without adding a full coupling. Weighing 0.3 pounds, it is lightweight and easy to handle. Installation is handled by plumbers and pipefitters working on PVC Schedule 40 systems.
This bushing is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, irrigation laterals, pool and spa plumbing, and similar applications where Schedule 40 PVC is the specified pipe material. The spigot end inserts into an existing 1-inch slip fitting, while the slip end accepts a 3/4-inch spigot or pipe end, making inline reductions straightforward without additional adapters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Schedule 40 PVC piping systems using standard spigot and slip solvent-weld connections.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified pipefitters. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting or joining any fittings. Clean and dry all mating surfaces, apply PVC primer and solvent cement per the manufacturer instructions and applicable plumbing codes before joining. Allow full cure time before restoring pressure to the system.
