The VALUE COLLECTION 429-003 is a Schedule 40 PVC pipe coupling designed for joining two sections of 3/8-inch PVC pipe in a single straight run. Machined from PVC plastic, this coupling uses all-slip end connections, meaning both ends accept solvent-welded pipe rather than threaded connections. It is a standard component in low-pressure water distribution, irrigation, drainage, and general plumbing systems. Plumbers, pipefitters, and experienced DIYers install this fitting wherever a slip-joint coupling is required in a Schedule 40 PVC line. At 0.03 pounds, it is a lightweight, single-piece fitting suited for high-volume service or single repair applications.
This coupling is intended for use in residential and light commercial plumbing systems where Schedule 40 PVC pipe at the 3/8-inch nominal size is specified. Common installation scenarios include potable water supply lines, irrigation laterals, pool and spa plumbing runs, and industrial fluid-handling systems that call for PVC construction. The all-slip configuration makes it straightforward to install during new construction or as a repair coupling in an existing run where the pipe can be cut and re-joined with solvent cement.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 3/8-inch Schedule 40 PVC piping systems using all-slip end connections.
A licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter should install this coupling in accordance with applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Before cutting into an existing line, shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure completely. Use a PVC pipe cutter or fine-tooth saw for clean, square cuts, then deburr pipe ends before applying primer and solvent cement per the cement manufacturer's instructions. Do not apply mechanical stress to the joint until the solvent cement has fully cured.
