The VALUE COLLECTION 42331 is a metric hex head cap screw engineered for general-purpose fastening applications where precision thread fit and reliable clamping strength are required. Built to Grade 8.8 steel specifications, it delivers a tensile strength suitable for medium- to high-load mechanical assemblies. The screw features an M10 x 1.25 fine thread profile, a 25 mm length under head, and a zinc-plated finish that provides baseline corrosion resistance. The fully threaded shank allows maximum thread engagement across the full grip length. Compliant with DIN 961 and ISO 8676 standards, this fastener is a direct fit for metric-dimensioned assemblies in manufacturing, maintenance, and mechanical repair environments. Sold in a package quantity of 50.
This fastener is suited for metric-standard applications in industrial, automotive, and general mechanical maintenance settings. The fine 1.25 mm pitch thread is preferred in applications where vibration resistance or precise torque control is critical, as fine threads offer greater resistance to loosening under dynamic loads. The zinc-plated finish makes it appropriate for indoor or sheltered outdoor use where mild corrosion protection is needed. Typical installers include millwrights, mechanics, and maintenance technicians working on machinery, equipment frames, and structural assemblies where metric fasteners are specified.
Designed for use in metric-threaded assemblies requiring an M10 x 1.25 fine thread fastener. Conforms to DIN 961 and ISO 8676 standards.
Installation is performed with a 17 mm hex wrench or socket. Always verify that the mating thread is also M10 x 1.25 fine pitch before installation, as this thread is not interchangeable with the M10 x 1.5 coarse standard. De-energize or lock out any equipment before accessing fastener locations on live machinery per applicable safety procedures. Do not exceed the torque specification defined by the joint design engineer for the specific application.
