The VALUE COLLECTION 417011PR is a standard acorn nut designed to cap and protect exposed threaded fastener ends in mechanical, plumbing, and structural assemblies. It features an M10x1.5 right-hand thread, a 17mm width across flats for standard wrench engagement, and an 18mm overall height that provides full thread coverage. The shell is formed from Grade 2 steel with a zinc plating finish for basic corrosion resistance. This nut conforms to DIN 1587, making it a recognized standard component for trade and industrial applications. Plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and general mechanical contractors use acorn nuts where a finished, capped fastener appearance is required.
This acorn nut is suited for residential and light commercial applications where M10 threaded rod, bolt, or stud ends require protection from contamination, damage, or contact hazards. Typical uses include equipment mounting frames, pipe hangers, panel assemblies, and enclosure hardware. The zinc plating provides adequate protection in dry or mildly humid indoor environments. Minimum order quantity is 10 pieces per order; individual package quantity is 1.
Designed as a standard DIN 1587 acorn nut for use with M10x1.5 threaded fasteners including bolts, rods, and studs in mechanical and trade assembly applications.
Installation requires a standard 17mm metric wrench or socket. Thread the nut onto a clean, undamaged M10x1.5 male thread and tighten by hand before applying tool torque. De-energize or depressurize any system before accessing fasteners in live mechanical or electrical assemblies. Avoid overtightening, which can strip Grade 2 threads or crack the acorn dome.
