The VALUE COLLECTION 41602 is a bent probe scriber designed for layout and marking work on metal, plastic, and composite surfaces. The bent probe tip allows access to recessed areas and angled work surfaces where a straight scriber cannot reach. At 5.75 inches overall length, the tool fits comfortably in hand for controlled, precise scribing. The stainless steel body resists corrosion and holds up in shop environments where exposure to coolants, oils, and general shop grime is routine. Machinists, fabricators, and pipefitters commonly reach for this style of scriber during layout and inspection tasks.
This scriber is well suited for general fabrication shops, machine shops, and field service applications where layout lines need to be scribed accurately onto workpiece surfaces. The bent probe geometry is particularly useful when marking intersecting reference lines, locating hole centers in tight clearances, or scribing along a straightedge in a recessed channel. It is a standard hand tool kept on most layout benches and in field tool kits.
Designed as a general-purpose layout scriber compatible with standard hand-tool applications in machining, fabrication, and field service trades.
No installation is required for this hand tool. Keep the probe tip protected when not in use to prevent dulling and to avoid injury. Inspect the tip before use and replace the tool if the point is bent beyond its intended angle or shows cracks. Standard shop PPE including gloves and eye protection should be worn when scribing hardened materials.
