The VALUE COLLECTION 409-007 is a 3/4-inch Schedule 40 PVC 90-degree street elbow used to make right-angle direction changes in low-pressure plastic piping systems. The spigot-by-slip end connection allows one end to insert directly into a standard slip socket fitting, eliminating the need for an extra coupling at that joint. This fitting is manufactured from PVC, making it lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and compatible with common PVC solvent-cement joining methods. Plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting in residential and light commercial cold-water supply, irrigation, and drainage applications where a compact directional change is required.
This street elbow is suited for 3/4-inch Schedule 40 PVC piping systems found in residential plumbing, landscape irrigation, pool and spa plumbing, and light commercial water distribution lines. The street configuration is especially useful in tight spaces where back-to-back fittings would otherwise be needed. Installers work with this fitting any time a direct socket-to-spigot transition is needed at a 90-degree turn without adding pipe length between connections.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for standard 3/4-inch Schedule 40 PVC piping systems using solvent-cement joining methods.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified pipefitters following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the water supply line completely before cutting into any existing piping. Clean and dry all mating surfaces, apply a compatible PVC primer and solvent cement to both the spigot end and the receiving socket, and hold the joint firmly for the manufacturer-recommended cure time before restoring flow. Do not use this fitting on hot-water lines or systems operating outside the pressure and temperature ratings of Schedule 40 PVC.
