The VALUE COLLECTION 406322PS is a serrated flange bolt designed for general fastening applications where vibration resistance and load distribution are required. This fully threaded hex-drive bolt features a built-in serrated flange that bites into the mating surface, eliminating the need for a separate lock washer in many installations. It is manufactured from AISI C1022 steel to a Grade 2 material specification and finished with a zinc plating for basic corrosion protection. The 1/2-13 UNC thread size and 1 inch length under head make it suited for moderate-duty structural and mechanical assemblies. Installers in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general fabrication trades will encounter this fastener in bracket, equipment, and enclosure mounting work.
This bolt is used across a wide range of residential and commercial applications including equipment mounting, structural bracketing, and panel assembly. The serrated flange distributes clamping load over a wider bearing surface compared to standard hex bolts, which reduces surface deformation on softer substrates. The fully threaded configuration provides maximum thread engagement across short-grip applications. It is compatible with standard 1/2-13 UNC threaded holes and nuts.
Designed as a standard replacement or new-installation fastener for any application requiring a 1/2-13 UNC serrated flange bolt with a 1 inch length under head in Grade 2 steel.
Installation should be performed with a 3/4 inch hex socket or open-end wrench. De-energize and lock out any equipment before fastening or removing hardware on powered assemblies, per applicable NFPA 70E or equipment OEM procedures. The serrated flange is designed for use against metal or hard substrates; avoid over-torquing on thin sheet metal to prevent flange deformation. Do not reuse serrated flange bolts in critical joints where flange serration wear may compromise locking performance.
