The VALUE COLLECTION 402-130 is a Schedule 40 PVC reducing tee designed for joining plastic pipe runs in residential and light commercial plumbing, irrigation, and low-pressure fluid systems. It features a 1 x 1 x 1/2 inch configuration with Slip connections on the two run ends and a female iron pipe thread (FIPT) connection on the branch outlet. PVC construction provides corrosion resistance and compatibility with a wide range of water and chemical service applications. Licensed plumbers and irrigation technicians are the primary installers of this fitting type.
This tee is suited for residential drain, waste, and vent assemblies, cold-water supply lines, above-ground irrigation manifolds, and poolside plumbing where Schedule 40 PVC is specified. The reducing branch allows a 1-inch mainline run to branch down to a 1/2-inch threaded outlet, making it a common choice when transitioning to threaded valves, sprinkler heads, or threaded ball valves in irrigation and water distribution work. It is sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 5 units.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting compatible with Schedule 40 PVC pipe systems using 1-inch and 1/2-inch nominal pipe sizes in residential and light commercial plumbing and irrigation applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified irrigation technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM standards for PVC solvent cementing. Shut off and depressurize the water supply before cutting into any existing line. Use an appropriate PVC primer and solvent cement on the slip ends per manufacturer instructions, and apply thread sealant tape or compound to the FIPT branch connection before threading in a mating fitting. Do not use this fitting on hot-water supply lines or applications exceeding the pressure and temperature ratings for Schedule 40 PVC.
