The VALUE COLLECTION 3stekp12104 is a No. 12 pan head self drilling screw designed for fast, reliable fastening in metal and sheet applications. It features a Phillips drive and a No. 3 drill point that cuts its own pilot hole, eliminating the need for a separate drilling step. The 1-1/4 inch length under head provides solid thread engagement in light-gauge material. Constructed from Grade 410 stainless steel, this screw offers good corrosion resistance for general indoor and outdoor trade applications. It is sold individually by the piece with a minimum order quantity of 100 units.
This screw is suited for use in HVAC ductwork assembly, light sheet metal fabrication, and general mechanical fastening tasks where a self drilling fastener is required. The pan head profile sits flush-adjacent to the work surface and distributes clamping load across a wider bearing area, making it appropriate for thin metal panels, brackets, and enclosures commonly encountered in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing rough-in work. The Phillips drive is compatible with standard No. 2 Phillips bits used by most trade technicians.
Designed as a standard No. 12 self drilling pan head screw for use in light-gauge sheet metal applications typical of HVAC ductwork, electrical enclosures, and general mechanical assembly.
Installation does not require a pre-drilled pilot hole when used within the rated gauge capacity of the No. 3 drill point. Use a variable-speed drill or screw gun set to a controlled torque to avoid stripping the Phillips drive or overdriving into thin material. Power down or de-energize any equipment before fastening into live enclosures or ductwork assemblies. Consult applicable codes such as the NEC or SMACNA duct construction standards for fastener spacing and material requirements on your specific application.
