The VALUE COLLECTION 3sscs94c106 is a 1/4-20 UNC hex socket cap screw designed for secure mechanical fastening in a wide range of industrial and trade applications. Manufactured from 18-8 austenitic Grade A2 stainless steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this fastener offers solid corrosion resistance and structural integrity. The screw measures 1-3/8 inches in length under the head and is fully threaded along that length. Drive engagement is through a 3/16-inch internal hex socket, requiring an Allen key or hex bit driver. This fastener meets ASME/ANSI B18.3 and ASTM F837 standards, making it appropriate for use in structural and mechanical assemblies where dimensional and material compliance is required.
This screw is suited for light mechanical assemblies, equipment mounting, enclosure fabrication, and service work in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and pool equipment applications where stainless steel fasteners are specified. The 1/4-20 UNC thread is one of the most common coarse-thread sizes in North American trade equipment, and full threading along the 1-3/8-inch shank length allows engagement across the full usable depth of a tapped hole or nut. Installers working in wet, corrosive, or outdoor environments will appreciate the inherent rust resistance of Grade A2 stainless steel.
Designed as a standard 1/4-20 UNC hex socket cap screw for use in any application specifying a fully threaded Grade A2 stainless steel socket cap screw to ASME/ANSI B18.3 or ASTM F837.
Install using a 3/16-inch hex key or hex bit driver; do not use an undersized driver as it will damage the socket. Verify the mating tapped hole or nut is also 1/4-20 UNC before installation to prevent cross-threading. In stainless-to-stainless assemblies, apply an anti-seize compound to the threads to reduce the risk of galling. Follow applicable mechanical codes and equipment manufacturer torque guidelines for the assembly in which this fastener is used.
