The VALUE COLLECTION 395-2564 is a Style F-1 keyway broach manufactured from high speed steel (HSS) for cutting precise keyways in both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. At 25 mm wide with a 25x14 mm standard metric key size compatibility, this broach handles cutting lengths from 1 inch to 6 inches and carries an overall length of 20.25 inches. The bright finish reduces friction during the cut. With 26 teeth and a 5/8-inch tooth pitch, it delivers consistent, repeatable material removal across a full range of hub depths. Four shims are required for proper depth progression. This tool is used by machinists and maintenance technicians in precision metalworking and mechanical power transmission applications.
This keyway broach is suited for production and maintenance shops performing hub keyseating operations on shafts, gears, sprockets, pulleys, and similar components. It is designed for use with an arbor press or hydraulic press and a broach bushing. The 1-inch body width accommodates standard broach tooling setups. Compatible with both ferrous metals such as steel and cast iron and non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and bronze, it covers a broad range of workpiece materials common in industrial and OEM manufacturing environments.
Designed for use in standard arbor press or hydraulic press broaching setups requiring a Style F-1 keyway broach with a 25 mm keyway width and 1-inch body width. Compatible with ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Keyway broaching is performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians using an arbor press or hydraulic press with an appropriate broach bushing and guide. Always ensure the workpiece is securely fixtured and properly aligned before pressing. Install all four required shims in the correct sequence to achieve the specified keyway depth in progressive passes. Disconnect and lock out all power to any associated machinery before fitting or removing components from broached shafts.
