The VALUE COLLECTION 39050 is a fully threaded hex head cap screw designed for high-strength fastening applications across industrial, mechanical, and trade installations. Manufactured from Grade 8 steel with a zinc yellow dichromate finish, this fastener delivers high tensile strength combined with corrosion resistance. The 3/8-16 UNC thread and 1/2-inch length under head make it well suited for clamping and bolted joint assemblies where load-bearing reliability is required. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractors as well as mechanical tradespeople routinely use Grade 8 fasteners when standard hardware grades are insufficient for the load or vibration demands of the application.
This cap screw is appropriate for general industrial and trade use wherever a 3/8-16 UNC fully threaded hex fastener is specified. The zinc yellow dichromate finish provides a level of corrosion protection suitable for indoor and moderately demanding environments. The fastener conforms to ASME B18.2.1, which governs dimensional standards for inch-series hex head cap screws, ensuring consistent fit with standard hardware, tooling, and tapped holes. Sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 100 pieces per order.
Designed for use in standard 3/8-16 UNC tapped holes and mating hardware conforming to inch-series fastener specifications per ASME B18.2.1.
Installation is performed by mechanical and general trade professionals using standard hex wrenches, combination wrenches, or impact drivers with appropriate sockets. Always verify the receiving thread is clean and free of damage before installation. Do not mix Grade 8 fasteners with lower-grade nuts or tapped materials that cannot support the corresponding clamp load. Follow applicable torque specifications from engineering drawings or relevant ASME or OEM documentation for the assembly being fastened.
