The VALUE COLLECTION 38419 is a zinc-plated steel concrete wedge anchor designed to provide secure, load-bearing fastening into concrete substrates. Each anchor measures 5/8 inch in diameter and 6 inches in overall length, with 4 inches of thread length to allow proper engagement once the anchor is set. The hex head drive style is compatible with standard wrenches and impact tools, making installation straightforward for contractors, electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians anchoring equipment, brackets, or structural supports to concrete slabs, walls, or poured foundations. This package contains 5 anchors. Material grade is 1018 steel with a zinc finish for corrosion resistance in typical indoor and sheltered environments.
Concrete wedge anchors of this size are commonly used in commercial and residential construction and mechanical trades. Typical applications include securing HVAC equipment pads, pipe hangers, electrical panel supports, unistrut channel bases, and other mechanical or structural assemblies to concrete. The 5/8 inch diameter provides substantial holding strength suitable for medium to heavy-duty anchoring tasks where expansion-type fasteners are required by code or specification. Each anchor ships with a nut and washer for immediate installation readiness.
Designed for use in solid concrete applications where a wedge-style expansion anchor is required. Suitable for use with standard 5/8 inch hex nuts and washers as included.
Concrete wedge anchors are installed by drilling a hole in the concrete with a hammer drill and carbide-tipped bit sized to match the anchor diameter, then driving the anchor to the required embedment depth and torquing the nut to expand the wedge against the hole wall. Always verify minimum edge distance and anchor spacing requirements per the project specification or applicable building code before installation. Do not install in cracked concrete, grout-filled block, or hollow concrete sections unless the anchor is rated for that substrate. Torque to the fastener manufacturer's specification for the given embedment depth and base material.
