The VALUE COLLECTION 38417 is a zinc-plated steel concrete wedge anchor designed for fastening structural and mechanical components to solid concrete. With a 5/8-inch diameter and an overall length of 3-1/2 inches, this anchor provides reliable holding strength in typical concrete anchoring applications. The hex head drive type allows installation with standard wrenches or impact drivers. A 1-1/2-inch thread length engages the nut and washer assembly, expanding the clip at the base of the anchor against the concrete as the nut is tightened. Licensed trades including ironworkers, electricians, plumbers, and HVAC mechanics install wedge anchors when securing equipment bases, pipe hangers, unistrut, and structural brackets to concrete slabs or walls.
This wedge anchor is suited for use in residential and commercial concrete anchoring applications. Typical scenarios include securing mechanical equipment pads, electrical panel bases, pipe support strut, and structural steel connections to poured concrete substrates. The nut and washer included in the compatible hardware set complete the installation assembly. This anchor is sold in packages of 10, making it practical for projects requiring multiple fastening points.
Designed as a standard 5/8-inch diameter concrete wedge anchor for use with compatible hex nuts and washers in solid poured concrete substrates.
Wedge anchors are installed by licensed tradespeople including plumbers, HVAC mechanics, and electricians when anchoring equipment to concrete. Drill a hole in the concrete matching the anchor diameter using a carbide-tipped hammer drill bit, then clear debris before inserting the anchor. Tighten the hex nut with a wrench to expand the wedge clip against the concrete walls. Always verify concrete thickness and edge distance requirements per applicable building codes before installation.
