The VALUE COLLECTION 375-1522 is a right-hand carbide-tipped boring bar designed for internal turning and bore finishing operations on metal lathes and boring mills. It features a C2 carbide-tipped cutting insert, a 5/8-inch shank diameter, and an overall length of 5.25 inches. The minimum bore diameter is 0.6875 inches (11/16 inches) and the maximum bore depth reaches 3.75 inches (3-3/4 inches). Machinists and tool-and-die tradespeople use this bar for enlarging or finishing existing holes to precise diameters on both manual and CNC turning equipment.
This boring bar suits general-purpose ferrous and non-ferrous machining applications in production shops, maintenance facilities, and job shops. The right-hand cutting direction makes it compatible with standard lathe spindle rotation. The C2 carbide grade handles a broad range of materials including cast iron, mild steel, and non-ferrous alloys. The 3.75-inch maximum bore depth gives sufficient reach for most medium-depth internal finishing passes without the need for extended tooling.
Designed as a standard replacement or direct-fit boring bar for tool posts and boring heads that accept a 5/8-inch shank diameter on manual and CNC lathes configured for right-hand cutting.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists. Power down and lock out the lathe or boring mill before mounting or removing tooling. Secure the shank firmly in the tool post or boring head holder to the full recommended grip length to minimize deflection and chatter. Verify bore diameter and depth clearance before initiating a cut.
