The VALUE COLLECTION 375-1296 is a right-hand carbide-tipped boring bar designed for internal diameter machining on lathes and boring mills. The cutting tip is C6 grade carbide, suited for general-purpose ferrous and non-ferrous material removal where wear resistance and edge retention matter. It accepts a 1/2 inch shank diameter, measures 4.5 inches in overall length, and reaches a maximum bore depth of 3 inches. Minimum bore diameter is 9/16 inch. Machinists and tool-and-die tradespeople use this style of bar for finishing and semi-finishing passes on through-holes and blind bores.
This boring bar is intended for use in manual and CNC turning centers as well as horizontal boring setups where a 1/2 inch tool holder or quick-change toolpost is in use. The right-hand cutting direction suits standard spindle rotation on most engine lathes. It is a practical choice for job-shop environments handling a range of bore sizes at or above the 9/16 inch minimum, up to the 3 inch depth capacity.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or addition for any lathe or boring mill setup that accepts a 1/2 inch shank boring bar holder.
Installation is performed by machinists familiar with lathe tooling setup. Secure the shank fully in the tool holder and minimize overhang to reduce chatter. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing or adjusting tooling. Verify cutting-edge height is on center before beginning a boring pass.
