The VALUE COLLECTION 375-1076 is a right-hand carbide-tipped boring bar designed for internal turning and bore finishing operations on lathes and boring machines. Built with a C6 carbide-tipped insert grade, it handles general-purpose machining on cast iron, steel, and non-ferrous materials. The shank measures 3/8 inches in diameter with an overall length of 2-3/8 inches, keeping the setup compact for smaller workholding configurations. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians use this bar when opening existing holes to precise finished diameters in production and job-shop environments.
This boring bar is suited for light to medium-duty boring passes where the minimum bore diameter is 7/16 inches and maximum bore depth reaches 1-1/8 inches. It fits standard lathe tool posts and boring head setups that accept a 3/8-inch shank. The right-hand cutting direction makes it appropriate for conventional forward-feed lathe operations. Its compact overall length is well matched to benchtop and mid-size engine lathes commonly found in maintenance shops and production cells.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use boring bar compatible with lathe tool posts and boring head setups that accept a 3/8-inch round shank.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard lathe setup procedures. Secure the shank firmly in the tool post or boring head holder before operation, ensuring minimal overhang to reduce chatter. Power down and lock out the lathe spindle before changing or adjusting tooling. Follow applicable shop safety standards and manufacturer guidelines for cutting speeds and feeds based on workpiece material.
