The VALUE COLLECTION 375-1066 is a right-hand boring bar designed for precision internal turning operations on lathes and boring mills. It features a C6 carbide-tipped insert grade, making it suitable for machining cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and general-purpose materials at moderate to high cutting speeds. The bar accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.375 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 1.875 inches, with a 3/8-inch shank diameter and an overall length of 3.125 inches. Machinists and tool-room operators use this bar for tight-tolerance bores where a solid, compact toolholder is required.
This boring bar is suited for small-bore applications in job shops, production machining environments, and toolroom setups. Its compact overall length and 3/8-inch shank make it compatible with standard lathe tool posts and boring head setups capable of accepting 3/8-inch shank tooling. Right-hand cutting orientation means material is removed as the bar feeds toward the chuck in a conventional lathe setup.
Designed as a standard right-hand boring bar for lathes and boring mills equipped with tool posts or boring heads accepting 3/8-inch shank tooling.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist. Secure the shank firmly in the tool post or boring head before beginning any cut, and verify that the cutting edge is set at the correct center height for the machine spindle. Power down and lock out the machine before changing or adjusting tooling. Avoid exceeding the maximum bore depth rating to prevent deflection or tool breakage.
