Sized at 3/4-20, this die cuts to the UNEF (Unified Extra Fine) thread standard with a right-hand direction. It is made from carbon steel, which provides the hardness needed to chase threads on common mild steel, iron, and similar ferrous fasteners. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and mechanical contractors keep rethreading dies on hand for field repairs where replacing a bolt, stud, or threaded fitting is not practical.
