The VALUE COLLECTION 34175 is an open end blind rivet with a large flange dome head, designed for fastening applications where access is limited to one side of the workpiece. The body and mandrel are both steel construction, with a phosphate finish on the mandrel for corrosion resistance. The body diameter is 3/16 inches, the head diameter is 5/8 inches, and the grip range spans 0.251 to 0.375 inches. This rivet meets IFI 114 Grade 30 standards and is suited for structural and general-purpose blind fastening in metal fabrication, HVAC ductwork, electrical enclosures, and similar trade applications. Each package contains 100 rivets.
This rivet is used in residential and commercial applications wherever a flush-style or low-profile dome head with a wide flange bearing surface is required. The large flange head distributes load over a greater surface area, making it well suited for softer substrates or situations where pull-through resistance is a priority. It is commonly installed in sheet metal assemblies, electrical panels, HVAC equipment cabinets, and light structural components. A standard rivet gun or pneumatic pull tool with a 3/16-inch nose piece is required for installation.
Designed as a standard open end blind rivet for use in any application requiring a Size 66, 3/16-inch body diameter rivet with a large flange dome head and a grip range of 0.251 to 0.375 inches. Requires a drilled or punched hole sized for a No. 11 wire gauge drill, with a minimum hole diameter of 0.192 inches and a maximum of 0.196 inches.
Installation requires a pull-type blind rivet tool fitted with a 3/16-inch nose piece. Ensure the substrate hole diameter falls within the specified range of 0.192 to 0.196 inches before setting the rivet. Verify total material stack thickness is within the 0.251 to 0.375 inch grip range to ensure proper mandrel break and flange formation. Inspect the set rivet head and backside flare for complete mandrel break and flush seating before applying load.
