The VALUE COLLECTION 34129 is an open end blind rivet with a large flange dome head, designed for fastening applications where access is limited to one side of the workpiece. The body and mandrel are both aluminum alloy 5052, providing a bright finish and corrosion resistance suited to sheet metal, HVAC ductwork, enclosures, and light structural assemblies. The body diameter is 3/16 inches, the grip range runs from 0.626 to 0.750 inches, and the head diameter is 5/8 inches. The large flange distributes load across a wider bearing surface, reducing pull-through in thinner or softer base materials. Each package contains 100 rivets. Installation requires a standard blind rivet tool sized for a 3/16 inch mandrel.
This rivet is well suited to residential and commercial HVAC fabrication, sheet metal work, electrical enclosure assembly, and general light-duty mechanical fastening. The size 612 designation identifies the 3/16 inch body diameter and 3/4 inch maximum grip, making it a common choice for joining two or more layers of thin-gauge aluminum, galvanized steel, or similar materials where a flush or low-profile finish on the accessible side is acceptable. The large flange head is particularly useful when fastening into oversized or elongated holes or into softer substrates such as fiberglass or plastic panels.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-stock fastener for applications requiring a size 612 open end blind rivet conforming to IFI 114 Grade 11, with a 3/16 inch body diameter and large flange dome head.
Installation is performed with a hand-operated or pneumatic blind rivet tool sized for a 3/16 inch nose piece. Drill or punch the hole to between 0.192 and 0.196 inches before setting; an undersized hole will prevent rivet insertion and an oversized hole will reduce clamp load. Ensure all material layers are clamped tight before pulling the mandrel to avoid gaps in the joint. Wear eye protection during setting, as the mandrel stem ejects at the completion of the pull cycle.
