The VALUE COLLECTION 331-9322 is a machine expansion reamer designed for sizing and finishing bored or drilled holes to precise tolerances in metalworking applications. Built from high speed steel, this reamer features a straight flute geometry and a No. 2 Morse taper shank for secure, concentric mounting in compatible taper-socket spindles and drill press quills. The 11/16 inch (0.6875 inch) cutting diameter and 9 inch overall length make it well suited for production and tool room environments where consistent hole quality is required. Right-hand cutting direction is standard. Machinists and tool room operators use this type of reamer when dimensional accuracy and smooth bore finish are the primary objectives.
This reamer is appropriate for use in machine shop, manufacturing, and maintenance operations where holes must be brought to a finished diameter with minimal material removal. It is typically driven by a drill press, milling machine, or lathe tailstock equipped with a No. 2 Morse taper socket. The 1-1/4 inch flute length suits moderate-depth finishing passes in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar machinable materials. Installation and use should follow established speeds and feeds for high speed steel reamers to avoid work hardening or premature wear.
Designed for use in drill presses, milling machines, or lathe tailstocks equipped with a No. 2 Morse taper socket. Suitable for reaming machinable metals in tool room and production environments.
This reamer is installed by a machinist or tool room technician. Power down and de-energize the machine spindle fully before mounting or removing the taper shank. Clean the taper socket and shank of chips and oil before seating to ensure full contact and concentricity. Use appropriate speeds and feeds for high speed steel reamers; excessive feed rate or spindle speed will shorten tool life and degrade hole finish.
