The VALUE COLLECTION 32924 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and hard material applications. With a 29/64 inch (0.4531 inch) cutting diameter and four spiral flutes ground from micrograin carbide, it delivers consistent chip evacuation and edge stability across a 1 inch length of cut. The straight 1/2 inch shank fits standard ER and mechanical collet holders. Overall length is 3 inches. This is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can be fed directly into a workpiece face for plunging and slot milling. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this type of tooling in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
This end mill suits general-purpose milling tasks including slotting, profiling, and pocketing in ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The bright uncoated finish makes it a practical choice for aluminum, brass, and free-machining steels where coating adhesion or lubricity is less critical. The 30-degree helix angle balances cutting force with chip clearance in conventional and climb milling passes. It is part of the Series 3200 regular-length lineup, which covers fractional inch diameters in this size range.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or equivalent for standard 1/2 inch straight-shank collet and end mill holder systems used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an energy-isolated state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder to the minimum insertion depth recommended by the holder manufacturer before tightening. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and do not exceed the rated speed and feed parameters for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
