The VALUE COLLECTION 316-0645 is a concave radius milling cutter designed for machining concave radii and contoured profiles on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. Built from high speed steel with an oxide finish, it offers moderate heat resistance and surface hardness suited for general-purpose milling operations. The cutter features a 0.5 inch radius, a 3.25 inch cut diameter, and a 1 inch arbor bore for mounting on standard horizontal milling arbors. With 10 teeth and a form relieved relief style, it maintains consistent cutting geometry throughout the tool life. Machinists and toolroom operators typically install and run this cutter on horizontal milling machines.
This concave radius cutter is used in toolroom, production machining, and maintenance machining environments. It is suited for cutting rounded slots, grooves, and concave contour features in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials. The form relieved design allows the cutter to be re-sharpened on the face without altering the profile geometry, extending usable tool life. A 1 inch circle diameter defines the concave form profile generated by the cutter. This tool is appropriate for job shops and machine shops requiring accurate radius milling on a horizontal or universal milling machine.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard toolroom cutter for horizontal and universal milling machines accepting a 1 inch arbor bore.
Installation of this cutter is performed by a qualified machinist following standard horizontal milling machine setup procedures. Power down and lock out the machine before mounting or removing the cutter from the arbor. Use appropriate arbor spacers, collars, and a drawbar torqued per machine manufacturer specifications to secure the cutter on the arbor. Inspect the cutter teeth for chips or damage before each use and never exceed the machine or cutter manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the material being machined.
