It features a 9/64-inch radius and a 2-1/2-inch cut diameter, with a 1-inch arbor mount for secure attachment to horizontal milling machines. Constructed from high-speed steel with an oxide finish, this cutter delivers durability and wear resistance across a range of milling applications. The form-relieved tooth geometry maintains consistent cutting profiles through multiple resharpenings. With 10 teeth, the cutter provides smooth, controlled material removal on steel, aluminum, and similar machinable metals. Machinists and toolroom operators typically install and run this cutter on conventional horizontal knee mills.
This concave radius cutter is used in toolroom, production, and maintenance machining environments where a specific concave radius must be milled into a workpiece edge or face. Common applications include cutting radii into shafts, forming matching radii for mating components, and producing curved profiles for jigs and fixtures. It fits standard arbor setups on horizontal milling machines and is suited to both light production runs and one-off toolroom work. Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with horizontal milling machine setup and arbor cutter mounting procedures. Power down and lock out the machine before mounting or removing the cutter from the arbor. Ensure the arbor spacers, collars, and drawbar are properly torqued and that the arbor support is engaged before starting the cut. Always verify cutter rotation direction and workpiece fixturing before engaging the feed.
