The VALUE COLLECTION 314-1384 is a round threading die designed to cut external threads on rod, bolt stock, and pipe fittings. It produces a 1-14 UNS right-hand thread profile and is machined from high-speed steel for durability across ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The 2-inch outside diameter fits standard round die stocks of matching bore size. An adjustable design allows the technician to fine-tune thread fit by opening or closing the die cutting face with a set screw, enabling light finishing passes and tolerance control. Machinists, pipefitters, and maintenance technicians use this die for threading operations in shop or field settings.
This die is suited for threading applications requiring a 1-14 UNS coarse-pitch profile. It is commonly used in industrial maintenance, fabrication shops, and mechanical assembly work where external threads must be cut or restored on fasteners, studs, or rod stock. The right-hand thread direction is the standard orientation for the vast majority of threaded fastener and fitting applications. High-speed steel construction allows use at moderate cutting speeds with appropriate cutting fluid, making it practical for both manual die stock operation and low-speed machine use.
Designed for use in standard round die stocks with a 2-inch bore. Suitable for cutting 1-14 UNS right-hand external threads on compatible rod, stud, or fastener stock materials.
Round dies are installed and used by machinists, pipefitters, and maintenance technicians performing threading operations. Secure the die firmly in a matching die stock before use, and apply appropriate cutting fluid to the workpiece to reduce heat and extend cutting edge life. Always align the die squarely with the workpiece axis at the start of the cut to prevent cross-threading or tapered threads. Keep hands clear of rotating stock when threading on a lathe or power drive.
